We hand pick the animals on our farm specifically to have a purpose, be people friendly, and work well within our small footprint. Each employee has a job to do, some are better at it than others. Below is a sample of the permanent residents here.
Holi the Cow
Holi the Cow is a Miniature Scottish Highland, born in 2023. She is lovable, sassy, loves showers, and to eat Kale. So the next time you find yourself saying "Holi Cow!" You can come boop noses with the real thing!
Bentley
Born in January of 2024, Bentley is a Valias Blacknose sheep. They are natives of Switzerland, and are still pretty rare in the US. If you've ever thought a sheep was shy and flighty, you haven't met Bentley. He is the friendliest giant ball of Wool you will ever meet. Bentley loves a good hug and to meet new people. So come bury your face in his soft coat. He doesn't mind.
Karen
Karen is our resident Complaint department. She is a busy body who is always in on all the goings on at the farm, and revels in reporting to you about it. Whether it's a goat in the wrong pen, or a hen in the wrong nest. If you have a complaint about your visit, speak to Karen.
Avah
Every goat herd has a herd boss. Avah is ours. She is the only goat on the farm sporting horns, and she uses them to keep the others in line. She is also our best milk goat, so we love her.
Lillabet
Born in 2014, Lilly is our oldest animal on the farm. Her sweet temperament, willingness to be mother to all, and excellent milking manners mean that we have kept many of her offspring through the years. (She is also Avah's mom, so Avah gives her the privileges a dowager deserves.)
TK53175
He shows up on the farm occasionally. He has terrible aim, but is great when you need remedial farm jobs done.
