About the Farm
In 1953 my parents bought an acre of blackberry brush and alder trees for $500. They built the original house using materials salvaged from a condemned 19th century home. 3 generations of family have now made their mark on this land, as it continues to change and flourish. We are a family of dreamers, doers, and problem solvers, so things are always changing around here, and often in creative ways. I mean, why just build a goat shelter when you could build a Hobbit Hole?
What We Do
The most common question we get asked is "How big is this property?" Because visitors are often shocked by all we manage to fit and do on our micro farm. From various gardens and a greenhouse to goat milking and managing pastures, we do it all with a focus on making sure all our choices fit the land and help it thrive. Our passion is not just in challenging ourselves to always learn more, it's to share what we have learned and empower our community to try it too.

Who We Are
We are the Nicholsons. We have backgrounds in public service, education, textiles, project management, and construction. But our love is here on the farm, creating in our shop, growing plants, working with our animals, and the real food we nurture. We also embrace our Nerd side here, with hobbies than include; building life size Droids, Cosplay, Legos, Art projects, Technology, Remodeling, Sewing, and the list is always growing. Curious?
